With Holy Communion, Baptism is the 2nd of our two Sacraments. It is offered to infants, youth or adults upon arrangements with the pastors. Upon speaking with the pastors you will receive information about Baptismal classes and you can schedule a time for the baptism during a worship service. Baptism is offered during non-communion services.
Photos of three Baptisms, Jan. 24
On Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, we welcomed into God's family three children: Brynn Patricia Jensen, Siena Marie Petersen and Chase Donal Slager. The three St. Matt's pastors baptized the children. Congregational photos of this multiple Baptism were made available by one of the church photographers. No flash was used. Photos are below. (Click image to enlarge.)
Weddings are conducted for anyone. There is an informational booklet with related details, suggestions, music options, and costs. The wedding couple will meet with one of our pastors for conversation and planning. Together they shape a service that reflects the needs of the wedding couple, as well as the Christian context in which it takes place. Careful consideration will be given to selections of music, scripture, readings, vows and other components of the worship time together. We want to assist you in this new beginning!
The Wedding Booklet is available for downloading and printing: [doc] [PDF]

Flowers at funerals at St. Matt's
Consult the church office for information about floral displays at funerals at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Flowers can reflect many religious beliefs, including eternal life and rebirth. Flowers show respect for the deceased, as well as loving support of family and friends, especially when you cannot be there in person. Flowers also make for a more pleasant atmosphere, helping those present feel as comfortable and welcome as possible. With flowers at a service, you help create a lasting and beautiful memory for those who have gathered to mourn the loss of someone dear.

Healing Prayer Services are held each month, sometimes as part of Sunday morning worship, and also at other specially designated times. Anointing with oil and the laying on of hands are part of the healing liturgy.
