Service is our response to the Gospel...that Christ has loved us, and we are to love one another.
This is service out into the wider community as well as caring for one another as a
congregational family. Several support groups enable us to care for one another.
Outreach into the community includes those listed below.
Healing the Children: Members volunteer to be foster parents for children coming
to the U.S.for medical appointments and medical services.
Lutheran Social Services:
Provides alcohol and drug treatment, adoption and foster care, services for
children, youth and families, older adult programs and housing,
services for people who are developmentally disabled or mentally ill,
counseling, refugee services and many other services that help people
work through difficult times. They are in partnership with 824 ELCA congregations and accept
volunteer help as well as financial support.
Habitat for Humanity: The local chaper helps to rehabilitate homes for the
working poor. We are one of many congregations that supply funding and
volunteers to this national program. Click here for more information on

Lutheran World Relief: Helps people overcome poverty by gathering
blankets, clothing and money for work around the world.
Lutherdale Bible Camp: We support the camping ministry of Lutherdale, a
not-for-profit outdoor ministry owned and operated by 240 ELCA congregations.
L.A.M.P.: Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots ministers to native
Americans in Alaska and Canada by providing Vacation Bible School and curriculum.
Food Pantry: Collects food for Reformation Lutheran Church's Food Pantry.
(We have a city mission partnership with Reformation Lutheran Church)
Mayfair Interfaith: Volunteer and financial support are given to the
local chapter of city-wide Interfaith Neighborhood Outreach Program to support
elderly in the many facets of independent living.
Next Door Foundation: Serves central city children and families through education and
development programs.
Reformation Potluck: Provides meals at Reformation Lutheran. Our members may give
food contributions and/or volunteer for serving help.
Hope House: A homeless shelter.
