Adult's Ministry Children's Ministry Youth Ministry Family Ministry Social Ministry Music Ministry Special Groups Volunteer Activities Social Activities		Sunday School: Our church believes in the importance of learning Christian values and faith from the earliest age. We offer a ministry for children in every stage of development. Our goal is to train children for discipleship to Jesus Christ. Dedicated teachers, using prescribed curriculum and team teaching techniques, are supported by an Education Committee. We have Sunday School sessions from 9:45am-10:45am on Sundays from September through May (immediately following the 8:30am worship). Children may be registered in the classrooms any Sunday morning. In addition to weekly classes, several family events are offered each year and all children are involved in a Sunday School Christmas program every other year. Vacation Bible School: A new and exciting VBS program is brought to St. Matthew's every summer drawing a large number of children from our own church as well as the community. A complete volunteer staff helps to produce a fine week long morning only program. VBS is typically held later in the summer prior to the start of school. Our program has centered around the concept of each grade level "visiting" a new location/room/theme throughout the 5 days, all centering on learning Christian themes. Nursery and Child Care: During the worship services of the congregation there are volunteer folks who provide a secure, warm and loving environment for the little ones. While children are encouraged to be in worship, this special ministry is available for any who desire it. Special Activities Good Friday for Children....meant to draw little ones closer to the Easter story. Lenten Activities....there is always a time and a place for the children to experience Lent. We gather parents and children together to grow in faith. Family Camp Weekend....whether promoted for members who are into camping or encouraging families to participate in our Bible Camp events, we seek to help draw folks together for a time of fellowship and sharing. Variety Shows to Drama....events are sought to provide families with numerous faith experiences. They change from year to year, but the Christian expression of faith is the goal and purpose.
