A group of 21 from St. Matthew’s made a trip to El Salvador, the fifth annual congregational trip to that country, where our partnership with the Salvadoran Lutheran Church and Casa Esperanza continues to grow.
Friday: The group met with Bishop Gomez, head of the Lutheran church in El Salvador before packing their suitcases to head home. There was a tearful goodbye with the Casa Concordia family around 11:00 a.m. The long day ended in Milwaukee around 10:00 p.m. where families welcomed the participants home.
The Mission Trip group shared details of the trip in worship services and at the adult education time on Jan. 29.
