“All That Jazz” event benefits “Re-New Orleans” Mission Trip
Participants experienced a taste of New Orleans at our annual dinner auction on Friday, Feb. 18. There was great food, entertainment, activities for kids, and a variety of items waiting for your bid.
Chef Myles, a chef displaced from New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 now living in Milwaukee, cooked authentic jambalaya, chicken and mustard greens. Salad, red beans and rice and dessert platters filled out the delicious meal.
Proceeds will support the youth summer mission trip to New Orleans, where we will repair houses that were damaged by Hurricane Katrina over five years ago. Nearly a thousand families continue to live in FEMA trailers while awaiting home repairs. We are excited to join the efforts of others to help those families move back into their homes.
