Confirmation Camp 2011

 

Confirmation Camp, Pine Lake, WI, June 12-17

In the beautiful rural setting of Pine Lake, Confirmation students attended the 2011 Confirmation Camp, June 12-17, 2011. The Camp featured worship, Bible study, music, team-building exercises, fellowship, recreation, swimming, and lots of FUN! During camp, confirmation campers help to lead daily worship services by performing songs, skits, and reading Bible passages.

Confirmation students attend the Camp at the end of 7th grade. St. Matthew’s 2011 Confirmation Campers were: Lorraine Bueckers, John Easterday, Kodi Gissib, Peter Hewett, Hailey Lippold, Noah Manke, Erin Merklein, Carmen Muehlfeld, Conor Schmidt, Dylan Seif and Brianna Stolte. Counselor Ali and Counselor Jake led the Confirmation Bible studies for the group all week. Adult advisors were Gretchen Haugse and Pastor Chris Manke.

This year, several other churches were part of the Camp experience during the week. During camp, confirmation campers help to lead daily worship services by performing songs, skits, and reading Bible passages.

God's beauty in nature was visible during Confirmation Camp. Pastor Chris was able to capture photos of a family of woodpeckers (Day 1), a tortoise laying eggs (Day 3) and an eagle in the treetops (Day 5).
