Women's Wellness event, Saturday, Feb. 11
Women, Give Yourself a Valentine! Join other women of all ages at St. Matthew’s to “Bless Your Heart” at the fourth annual Women’s Wellness Day, Saturday, Feb. 11, 8:00 a.m. -Noon. Do it for the ones you love - Your spouse, your kids, yourself. Give yourself a healthy heart!

• Learn from Dr. Patricia Dohlun about a multi-dimensional approach to women’s heart health.
• Participate in cooking classes, where you can taste new heart-healthy recipes.
• Converse with dietitians, who will answer your questions and suggest guidelines for adapting your favorite recipes.
• Move with the exercise class, designed for all levels of fitness.
• Grow in faith from sessions on spiritual practices.
• Celebrate our contributions to the Women’s Retreat room at the Repairers of the Breach Homeless Outreach Center.
• Connect with other women like you over a delicious local breakfast and lunch.
  

You may register between services in the Commons on Jan. 22 and 29 or Feb. 5, through the church office (414-774-0441) or via the website. The fee is $10 with scholarships available. Free child-care will be provided.

ROTB Women's Respite Room - You can help!
St. Matthew’s Women’s Group has graciously taken on the challenge of furnishing the newly renovated Women’s Retreat Room, which will be completed by Feb. 1., at the Repairers of the Breach homeless day shelter. For it, we will be trying our best to create a home-like feel utilizing new and like new items with a traditional look. We already have secured a leather couch, loveseat and chair with rivets and rounded arms and we are currently seeking " almost new" items to furnish the room. There is also a flyer with photos of recent donations [here]. All flyers can be downloaded and printed. Heidi Fendos of our congregation has been spearheading this project to build a Women's Respite Room at Repairers of the Breach. Now it needs furnishing and she is setting up the collection of those items. Also, the Women's Wellness event will have a 'shower' portion to accept donations of items on that day. If you have any of these items and would consider donating them please email a picture to Heidi Fendos (heidi@fendospr.com) or call her (414-778-0766) to arrange for a time to view the items to see if they will work with what already has been donated. A bridal registry has also been established at Target for their needs. (Brides Name: Heidi Fendos, Wedding Date: 2/11/12, the day the gifts will be presented to the executive director of Repairers). Gifts should be brought to church by Feb. 11 or if you are shopping online, ship them directly to the address on the registry (It is St. Matt’s address). Target gift cards and cash donations are also appreciated. All items will be presented to the Executive Directory, MacCanon Brown and two homeless women representatives at our “Bless Your Heart” Women’s Wellness Day on Saturday, Feb. 11.
