Sunday School classes are 9:45-10:45 a.m. Our church believes in the importance of learning Christian values and faith from the earliest age. Photos preschool Sunday School Easter project March 28

On March 21, The 6th-8th graders made Easter baskets that were filled by preschool classes and then donated to Hope House, an agency on Milwaukee's near south side that serves homeless and low income families and individuals. (See photos below [here].) The Easter baskets are distributed to families who use the food pantry at Hope House. Some photos of the children are below. (Click image to enlarge)

Photos Middle School Easter project for Hope House March 21

Once a month the Middle School participates in an art/service Sunday. On March 21, The 6th-8th graders made Easter baskets that will be filled by preschool classes and then donated to Hope House, an agency on Milwaukee's near south side that serves homeless and low income families and individuals. In the Rotational Sunday School, students gather once per month in a "big group" to focus on the monthly study theme through song, drama, art and other activities. Photos of the Feb. 21 "Big Group" are below. (Click image to enlarge)

Middle School Sunday School students produced Valentine gifts that were delivered on Feb. 14 to some of St. Matthew's older members. Photos of the Valentine art project are in the online Photo Album [here].

Middle School students (grades 6-7-8) have art work days about once a month. This particular project on Jan. 17, based on the style of Gustav Klimt, was an introduction to the next Sunday School topic of Christianity and World Religions. Photos of Operation Christmas Child packing event

Our Middle School youth packed 44 shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child during their Sunday School class on Nov. 8, at their monthly art/service project event. Students brought the items to fill the boxes and wrote notes to the children who will be receiving the gifts. Photos of this event are in the Photo Album [here]
