Tom Long - Guest Preacher and Lecturer - Sept. 26, 2010

The Rev. Dr. Tom Long has been named as one of the 12 most effective preachers in the English speaking world by Baylor University, along with Fred Craddock, Billy Graham, William Willimon. Ordained as a Presbyterian, he is the Bandy Professor of Preaching at Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta. He has written extensively and is in high demand as a preacher and presenter. Dr. Long was at St. Matt's Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at the 8:30 and 11:00 services and then for a session from 12:30-3:00 p.m., luncheon and topic: “Encounters With the Scriptures.”

The afternoon session was part of our Book of Faith Lectures Series. Tom Long is the first of these. The second in the series was a "Day with Dr. Ralph W. Klein", April 3, 2011.
