New Member classes begin Jan. 29
God has given us the gift of Christian community. It provides for two of our most basic needs. The church can be a place to belong and a place to become. If you have had an opportunity to worship with us and would like to learn more about St. Matthew’s please consider attending our membership classes in January and February.

If you have any questions about New Member classes or any St. Matt's program, please contact the pastors or the church office [here]. A mailing will be sent to those known to be interested in joining St. Matthew’s.

Classes will be held on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Childcare will be offered for all sessions.

Dates, times and class topics are:

Jan. 29 with Sue Swing – Fellowship and Small Groups at St. Matthew’s
We will interact in small groups to get to know one another and to share our faith stories. Discover how being part of a small group can grow your faith and connect you to your church community.
Feb. 5 with Sue Swing - Spiritual Gifts and Serving
What are spiritual gifts and how can you use them? God has equipped and called all of us to make a difference in this world. We will identify our spiritual gifts and explore the many ways we can use our gifts through the church and in our community.

Feb. 12 with Pastor Margaret - What Does it Mean to be Lutheran?
This open dialogue will center on being a Lutheran in the Evangelical Church of America. Come with questions!

Feb. 19 with Pastor Chris - Who We Are at St. Matthew’s
How did St. Matthew’s become the church that it is today? What is the vision of the church and how can you be part of that? In this class learn more about the church, where we have been and how God is calling us to grow.

New Member Sunday Feb. 26
We are honored as a congregation to welcome our newest members to St. Matthew’s on Sunday, Feb. 26 at the 11:00 a.m. worship service. As a place called to welcome everyone we encourage many to attend the 11:00 a.m. service that day and be part of the celebration!
