You are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22)

Christ and people are at the center of our ministry. Connecting people to Christ and connecting people to people is our calling. We are a people called by the Holy Spirit to share the Good News of what God has done through Jesus Christ. Christ is made known through people, like you and me. That is the work of the Holy Spirit. Luther said, "The Holy Spirit calls, gathers and enlightens the people of God!" Through this active ministry that offers so much, needs of people are fulfilled. Every program and activity is measured by our mission to connect people to Christ and one another. We are an active congregation centering on people, centering their lives in Christ.

Our Vision, Mission and Values

Vision Statement (What we want to become):

Guided by God's Spirit and Grace,
we are a community of disciples growing in faith,
hope and love in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Mission Statement (What we are going to do):

Called to fulfill the Great Commission, St. Matthew's
Welcomes all to faith in Jesus Christ,
Nurtures our faith journey,
Equips us to serve others,
Sends us into the world to make a difference in Jesus' name

Values (Who we want to be):

We want to be people who grow in our Spiritual fruitfulness,
which is shown through the Fruit of the Spirit:
Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness,
Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control. (Galatians 5: 22-23)

Simply Giving Form available online

St. Matthew's offers a reliable and safe way to make your donations automatically. Through Simply Giving, offerings are made through a pre-authorized withdrawal from your bank account. You determine the frequency of your automatic donation. Your donation will be deposited into St. Matt's bank account on the same day it is withdrawn from your account.

Benefits of this program include the knowledge that your stewardship donation is safe and reliable. This plan allows you to share your donations through planned giving and activates your generosity into ongoing stewardship. Because your donation is given consistently, you won't need to play "catch-up" at year-end or worry about forgotten checkbooks or missed Sunday offerings.

The Simply Giving sign-up form is available to view, download or print [here].

To learn more about this program or if you desire additional information, contact the church office [here].
